I've got a punto mrk 2 sporting - If i turn the steering wheel around to the full lock (usually when parking), the power steering turns off. Must be a fairly common fault! My advice - Don't 'whip' the steering wheel round too fast and it wont happen! If i turn the engine off then back on again its fine!! Bit strange though innit!! Weird.
