Ive tried that - when I say the fault isn't there - what I mean is the auto brake works - i.e disengages the car - however as soon as soon as the fault shows the auto handbrake feature stops working. Its like the car is on catch up with the fault. I have a cup of tea in hand which is always a good thing ..I will try your suggestion again though.
My C4GP developed a similar fault, which resulted in the automatic function of the handbrake being lost ie no hill start or automatic application or release on pull away.
